Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) are making repairs to a force main after it was broken by a contractor. The break is located at 13084 Old Gravois, in an industrial area of Sunset Hills.
The break happened Wednesday afternoon when a contractor performing underground utility work along Old Gravois hit an underground sewer pipe while boring.
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) Project Clear is continuing to encourage landowners to install rainscaping features on their property with the Rainscaping Small Grants Program 2019-2020 grant round. Approved landowners residing within the designated Program Area, which now includes the River des Peres combined sewer area, will be reimbursed up to $4,000 for installing rainscaping features on their property, which helps the environment by reducing the amount of stormwater entering the sewer system.
Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) are cleaning up and making repairs after a force main break near the Kiefer Creek Pump Station at Castlewood State Park in St. Louis County. The break happened early Tuesday morning, while MSD crews were working on a force main at 1402 Kiefer Creek Rd, near where Kiefer Creek flows into the Meramec River.
