Beginning September 1st, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) customers will receive a full-page, comprehensive billing statement each month. The new bill format offers customers greater account detail - including previous balances and current charges - along with explanations of how bills are calculated, and descriptions of charges and services provided by MSD. This new format will give customers a broader look at their entire account.
“We listened to our customers, and created a bill that provides more detailed information, better readability, and clearer information,” stated Michelle Vinson, Accounts Receivable Manager.
MSD also offers customers the ability to view and pay their bills online with SmartPay. Customers can sign up online at www.stlmsd.com/customer-service/payment-options. In addition to viewing and paying bills online, MSD is introducing a new mobile bill pay app, downloadable at www.stlmsd.com.
“This new billing statement will show our customers how the charges on their bills are calculated, connect us with our customers in a more efficient manner, and provide them with more ways to pay their bill,” said Sean Hadley, MSD Spokesperson.
